Does a hostel or campsite have to send reports to SES Hospedajes?

Yes. Royal Decree 933/2021 covers hotels, hostels, guesthouses, rural houses, campsites, youth hostels and any accommodation that charges for lodging. The only exceptions are Catalonia and the Basque Country, which use Mossos d'Esquadra and Ertzaintza; Autoregistro doesn't work there.

How much does Autoregistro cost for a 10-room hostel?

€1 a month plus VAT. The price is per establishment, meaning per SES Hospedajes establishment code, and doesn't depend on how many rooms, pitches or guests you have.

Can I register guests at reception with a tablet?

Yes. The registration link is a web form: it works on any tablet or phone with a browser. Guests fill it in at the desk, or before arriving from their own phone, whichever you prefer.

How does a family or a group register?

In a single registration. The first guest says how many people they are and adds the others' details (over 14, with ID). Each person is sent to SES as a traveler within the same report.

Does it work offline?

No. It's a web app and needs a connection, like the SES Hospedajes portal itself. A phone's 4G is enough.

What if I have a campsite with several areas, or a hostel and a rural house?

Each SES establishment code is one property in Autoregistro, with its own link and its own euro a month. If SES gave you a single code, it's a single establishment and you pay €1.
